WELCOME TO SOUTH SAN DIEGO VETERINARY HOSPITAL
We're so glad you've found us! Maybe a friend told you about SSDVH -- maybe you found us on the Internet or in the phone directory. In either case, the first thing you need to do is CALL TO SCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT. We welcome dogs and cats of all ages and health conditions, and can also perform services for birds such as wing and nail clipping. If we don't provide services for your pet, call anyway. We will refer you to the best specialists in the South San Diego area. We're open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

What to Expect at Your First Visit

With each exam, our goal is to create a trusting doctor-client relationship. We will get to know your pet, and they will get to know us. We listen carefully to owners to decide on treatment plans. We want what is best for your animal and for you. Often, we find that animals actually enjoy the experience of visiting our office. They can sense our intentions, and owners say they don't mind coming back.

We provide a range of services, including traditional Western medicine such as antibiotics, X-rays and surgery. We may also recommend holistic treatments such as essential oils, Reiki massage, energy work and laser therapy, or a combination of treatments from both approaches. Our veterinary technicians and Dr. Jacque McAndrew hold state licenses in addition to certification in Reiki and Healing Touch for Animals.

Every staff member is a pet owner and a lover of animals, and you can trust us to take care of your pet just as we care for our own.
